After several years of reflection, RILM (Répertoire international de littérature musicale) was founded in 1966 on the initiative of Barry S. Brook. The year 2026 thus marks its sixtieth anniversary! Switzerland is proud to have been part of this great musical adventure since its inception, notably thanks to the Swiss Musicological Society and the Institute of Musicology at the University of Bern.
